Bienvenue Petit Enfant - HA challenge

Using this card as inspiration, I made a card for the weekly challenge on Hero Arts Blog.

My friend Suzanne just went to China with her sister to bring back home her little chinese daughter. Lucky little girl, she will be in good hands! I made this card for them to welcome her home.

Thanks for your visit. Merci de votre visite.

Bruxelles trip - visit to Bruges 2

Here is another photo of the canal in Bruges, this time at dusk.... At 10:30 pm, it still wasn't dark...

This photo was taken earlier in the day yesterday - just as we were leaving on our boat tour. As you can see, lots 0f boats at the same time on the canal....

Most of the houses are very old and medieval-looking on the canall... Lots of flowers....

I'll have to post more photos later - just realise tht it is very late!

More photos fom Brussels

With my mini computer I must reduce all photos to 25% of their size in order to be ablee to post with the Ethernet connection. So it is very long.... and I didn't have the chance to look at the photos before and since I always take too many photos, I have a lot to look through.

Here is a photo I took this afternoon, just before leaving our hotel in Bruges (almost medieval city).... We were very near the canal besides an old 1500 century church. The bells of the church rang every half hour.... beautiful....!

So here is a view of the canal, right after the rain....

Yesterday, we did the boat tour of the canal. Some of these little round bridges are very low!!

OK more photos to come...

Hello de Bruxelles

Julie and I are in Bruxelles! Just came back from 1 1/2 days in Bruges. So beautiful! Did not have to Internet before now - everything is so expensive! Even Internet access.... 25E for 10 hours.. at 1.6 exchange rate to Canadian..... that's a lot of $... Anyway, in this hotel in Bruxelles, they lent an Internet cable for free and I'm connected!

Took a lot of photos so far, but I'm not sure I can post.... I have my mini computer and not too much software. I will try....

This was taken tonight after supper iin La Grand'Place. This is one of the very old building....

Will try to post more...

Bye for now! Louise and Julie

It's my Birthday!

Today is my birthday and as a surprise gift, my husband and daughter have given me a trip to Europe.

I leave tomorrow for Bruxelles with my daughter for 6 days! What a surprise! I'm not at all ready so I must go pack.

I wanted to post all the beautiful birthday cards I have received from my friends, but I just don't have enough time!

Maybe I'll try to post from Europe because I'm bringing my computer!

Bye for now!!!

Scapbook Page Eliana - Hero Arts Challenge

A scrapbook page for this week's Hero Arts Diecuts challenge.

(click on image to view bigger)

The cutie in the photo is my niece Emilie's little daughter Eliana.

Here are the details of the page:

The Hero Arts blog challenge called for Diecuts and stamps, especially diecuts from Quickutz.

I used the large bracket from Quickutz. I cut it in Bazzill pink shimmer CS. (on left of page)

I cut the letters and butterfly with my Cricut machine.

The letters were cut in Stampin'Up! Rose Red cardstock, then overstamped with Hero Arts Polka Dots mini stamps (LL966).

The 3 flowers around the photos were stamped with Versafine ink and the stamps are Hero Arts Fancy Flowers LL946. The pearls are also by Hero Arts.

The butterfly (cut with Cricut) was cut from Bazzill pink Cs and oversprayed with Tattered Angels glimmer mist in Old Rose. The bling is from Kayser Krafts and the bubbles are from the Dollorama.

The border in the middle of the page was cut with Martha Stewart Lace Border punch. All 3 papers are by K & Co.

The ribbon is Papertrey Inc.

I think that's all....

Thanks for looking.

June StampinUp Club Swap

We had another very nice SU Club meeting last night.
The theme for our swap card was to use a background stamp or to have a stamped background on our card.

Here is my card. My stamped background was made using a small wheel many times across the page.
